Just wanted to stop by and upload this short teaser video Matt put together for the new album. It gives some brief glimpses inside the barn and we have a slightly more in depth “barn tour” video on the way. We have six songs tracked excluding vocals, here is the list with working titles:

Bottom of the Gun
White Light Heat
Modern Age
E Song
Science
Blame the West

We’ll be doing another couple weeks of songwriting to finish up the remaining five or six songs and then more recording. Check back soon for more clips and things.

  5. to the administrators of this god forsaken website:
is there anyway you guys can put up a message board so that fans can get a dialouge going without having to just comment on the newest post like im doing right now. i mean, this really puts me out, here. you know, im trying to run a business, i just have so many things on my mind.

  6. also was reading a story and found this:

“Perhaps in the houses of delinquency among the dull and hard-eyed incorrigible girls can be found those for whom has burned the whitest fire.”

it’s that damned white light dog in heat again.

  7. where the hell is rammsbacher when you need him?

  8. Mmmm. I do love me a cold, refreshing glass of Fitzy.

“All good writing is swimming under water and holding your breath.”

Where am I? Where are you, my expatriate brethren?! I hear you’ve hopped the proverbial pond to partake in various modes of Frenchery. If you manage to, stop by Biarritz and give my regards to the local Virgin on the rocks. Stirring, but not shaken.

We need to swap e-mails, its been far too damn long since we’ve corresponded. So long i feel the need to use the word “corresponded.”

    benisrammy@hotmail.com be the e.

I’ve got a baby seedling of a project I want to toss in your veritable thinking garden; maybe see what sprouts up.
    (That’s what she said.)

  9. What do you think Chris? Should we erect a community forum for our burgeoning community of active posters? …or does it look cool to have more comments? I like the idea of people using the website as a sort of meet-up to share ideas; but will it ever be more than Ben and Jonny? Could it ever?

  10. you know what kevin costner would say, kent –
if you erect it, it will come
or was that salinger? i’d hate to do that to salinger.

  11. This isn’t some kind of socialist hippy commune. You want a message board, you have to work hard and earn a message board through constant commenting and higher taxes. For now, you get one post every 6 months.

  12. i feel sufficiently teased. can’t we just lower the comment quota? we’ve nearly got that album ready for you to remix chris. i don’t know if you think you are dangermouse or something, or if i think im lionel richie or if kent thinks he’s nepalitan yet but none of the titles apply to anyone. live at saxon pub is the only album anyone needs… that and the donnie darko soundtrack.

  13. Live at Saxon Pub… Jonny, you have the most extensive and obscure ThreeLeaf collection of all. Therefor I dub thee band historian. Your records will become very important in the future when decaying civilizations find our music relevant. But the only album anyone needs? All I remember from that night is shame and desperation- but I also haven’t heard that recording in many years

  14. If you haven’t listened in years (which I too have not) I’d have to say keep it that way. It’s more the like the only album nobody needs. Shame and desperation do not convey what actually happened that fabled night…..so many years

  15. I can sacrifice 8.24 seconds to check this place out, you know maybe even a solid 10. I look forward to the ‘barn tour’ vid and the album even more so. you know, not always do only unsatifactory things come from shame and desperation but sometimes,a worthy outcome.

  16. i don’t know if shame is what marked that night, but rather a childish view and innocence towards music. I wasn’t ashamed. It was where we were at that time. It was good for a bunch of kids, with no experience. At least thats how I feel. I see it as turning point for romance that would later develop. Let no man be ashamed of his lack of skill, for fear is what is holding us back anyways.
Dude this mix sounds real nice Kent! The whole amalgamation is nice and warm, despite the freezing barn! Can’t wait to hear the full album!
